Art Theme Overview|

This project invites popular illustrators 57 and Baozi, together with a team of professional instructors, to collaboratively create a series of permanent thematic artworks that combine illustrated picture books and three-dimensional sculptures, along with promotional picture book creations and DIY workshops.

The “Urban Forest on the Move !” visual art series aims to bring people closer to art and encourage interaction through storytelling public art. By presenting vivid, narrative-rich works, the project seeks to raise public awareness of exercise and wellness. Through accompanying outreach programs, it enhances the visibility of the artworks and their creative concepts, promotes active use of the sports center, and advocates the importance of maintaining health and regular exercise. In doing so, it also enriches citizens’ aesthetic literacy and deepens the local community’s and visitors’ appreciation, experience, and inspiration regarding the cultural and artistic identity of the Wugu Civil Sports Center.

This plan presents two artworks that together create an immersive space through visual and auditory experience. The wall piece depicts an imagined city forest—the starting point of a boy’s encounter with animals—while the sculptural installation transforms the running track into the setting of a Urban Forest Sports Festival. Through the interplay between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, the works guide viewers into the story of the Urban Forest .
